Focusing on the basics of being an athlete, such as keeping in good condition, the selection of "PlaX(TM)" material, body construction with an awareness of daily use, the message "MKtoU (MKtoU: From Makoto Kadowaki to you)," and the "beauty technique" that has earned him many hits in his second season, are all incorporated into the design. The silhouettes of his "beautiful technique," "Ninja Defense," and "Kadowaki Tamaran" were designed by Kadowaki, and the entire process was handled by Kadowaki.

In addition, during his voluntary training in early January, we took pictures of him wearing the model at a studio in Tokyo.

The team was relaxed from start to finish, chatting and laughing with the children belonging to the youth baseball team who modeled for the team.

After the photo shoot, we asked them about the year 2024, their efforts this time, and their goals for 2025.

We interviewed Makoto Kadowaki, who has been appointed as an ambassador for "W (W)," an apparel wear designed to improve conditioning, during a photo shoot of him wearing a model.

Congratulations on winning the 2024 Central League championship.

Can you tell us how you feel about your second year, in which you achieved career-high numbers despite suffering in the middle of the season?

--

Thank you very much.

I started the season as a regular and was in good shape from camp, but after four hits in the first game at Koshien, I had a hard time getting good results with my hitting, and my defense was lackluster as well, so I was dropped from the starting lineup.

I used to place importance on preparation going into games, and I thought I might have been thinking too much, especially in terms of hitting, so I tried to simply hit the ball as it came to me.

After the summer, when I was given another chance, I managed to hang in there, and with the team on the upswing, I was able to improve my own condition.

In the last half of the season, with the game difference between us and the other teams, each win was very important, and perhaps it was good that I was able to return to the baseball spirit of my student days.

I think another factor that kept me motivated throughout the season was the fact that the Giants bench provided an environment that made it easy for our seniors to play.

I was very happy that we were able to win the championship, which made many fans, friends and family, and the staff who supported us happy.

After two years as a professional baseball player, how did you feel about your conditioning?

--

The first year was a big change in training and environment as a pro in addition to the extension of my college life, but I am aware that I am getting better in the second year.

I wasn't in pain and couldn't do it.

However, in the second half of last season, I often had trouble sleeping.

I even changed my sleeping clothes.

I am trying to incorporate the advice I received about conditioning.

Please tell us about your new ambassadors for conditioning improvement.

-- I am very interested in the apparel and conditioning.

I was very happy because I am very interested in apparel and conditioning.

The fiber is made from plant-derived (sugarcane) fiber, which feels very good on the skin, and it also has antibacterial and deodorant effects, so it is good to be able to wear it without stress.

The material is also said to reduce CO2 emissions due to its material characteristics, making it an attractive material for solving sustainability issues.

CO2 emissions are reduced by 41% compared to polyester, and water consumption is reduced by 90% compared to cotton.

-- "The fabric, the shape, and the design of the shirts are all designed to be comfortable to wear.

Were you involved in the fabric, the shape of the shirt, or the design?

-- Yes.

Yes, I did.

We chose fabrics that we thought were outstanding among several we had prepared.

I was also satisfied with the shape since I wanted to wear it a little bigger.

As for the design, I made a silhouette of the jumping catch that drew attention on several SNS sites last year, and also included the message "From Makoto Kadowaki to you" under the title "MKtoU".

On the back of the design is the word "Makoto" and the theme for 2025, "Kakure" written in my own handwriting.

-- "I am a good friend of yours.

How do you feel about the finished product?

-- "It is very comfortable to wear and very relaxing.

It is very comfortable and looks very relaxing.

I like the design and (since this is a sample product) I hope to wear it on a regular basis soon.

I am happy that there is a strong conditioning up factor.

That's my birthday.

The production started in the off-season, so the release date just happened to be around that time (laughs).

(laughs) -- Finally, I would like to conclude with my hopes for the 2025 season.

Finally, what are your ambitions for the 2025 season?

-- "We were able to win the league last year.

Last year, we were able to win the league championship, but did not reach our goal of becoming the number one team in Japan.

This year, I would like to play an active role for the team throughout the season and see the view of Japan No.1 with everyone!
