■About the Exhibition

Teru Kawakita is known as a media artist who creates works on the theme of human psychology, Kansei, nature, and region. This exhibition, suitable for both children and adults, allows visitors to experience the charm of Miyako through the five senses with beautiful images and interactive works that utilize the latest technology. Please enjoy the clear blue waters of Jodogahama Beach, its abundant seafood, and the warmth of its culture and community through media art.

■About Teru Kawakita

Teru Kawakita (born in 1998) is a media artist.

He creates works on the theme of Kansei and community, utilizing 3DCG, AI, and other technologies. He earned a Master's degree in Knowledge Science from the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (JAIST), Division of Advanced Science and Technology, Creative Society Design. At the age of 25, he became an assistant professor at Matsuyama Shinonome Junior College and is also active as a researcher. His research focuses on Kansei Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), and Information Design. As a Certified Psychologist (Japan), he applies psychological principles to media art, creating works that explore the relationship between technology, nature, and human emotion. He has received numerous awards related to both art and research. He has also conducted special media art classes at elementary and junior high schools in Miyako City, Iwate Prefecture.
