CODE BLUE 2025
■About "CODE BLUE
CODE BLUE” is an international conference on cyber security where top-class experts from Japan and abroad gather.
The conference invites prominent researchers from around the world, providing opportunities to share cutting-edge research results and exchange ideas. CODE BLUE also aims to discover talented young researchers from Japan and other Asian countries and support their advancement onto the international stage.
CODE BLUE 2025, now in its 13th year, will be held at Bellesalle Takadanobaba, the same venue as last year, on November 18 (Tuesday)-19 (Wednesday). In addition to the conference, there will be workshops, contests, sponsor booths, networking parties and more. This year, the event will again be held in person only, with no online streaming. Training sessions are currently being considered and will be announced as soon as they are confirmed.
<Features of CODE BLUE 2025>
1) Cutting-edge Research and Surveys on Cybersecurity from Multiple Perspectives
The conference will feature cutting-edge talks in areas such as technical, cybercrime prevention, law & policy, and an introduction to open-source tools/projects (Bluebox). In addition, there will be talks from sponsor companies (Open Talks). Simultaneous Japanese-English interpretation will be provided (excluding some talks).
2) A Variety of Contests and Workshops Held Concurrently
A wide range of programs will be held, from international events such as “Biohacking Village” focusing on medical device cyber security and “Car Hacking Village” where participants can compete in car hacking skills, to contests sponsored by companies that visitors can casually enjoy*.
*Please note that the events are subject to change.
3) Two Types of Tickets to Suit Diverse Participation Styles
CODE BLUE offers two types of tickets: the “Conference Ticket”, which provides full access to the event, and the “Visitor Ticket”, which offers limited access at a more affordable price. Please refer to the table below for the differences between each ticket type.
Table: Comparison of Conference Ticket and Visitor Ticket
*1: Some contests and workshops may require prior registration.
*2: Archive videos will only be made available with the speaker's permission. They will be made publicly available after the early streaming period ends.
4) Initiatives to Nurture the Next Generation
In addition to the general Call for Paper (CFP), CODE BLUE also offers a U25 category for young engineers and researchers under the age of 25. Outstanding speakers are selected through a rigorous process and awarded a Research and Development Scholarship. Additionally, student staff are recruited to assist with event operations, providing them with the opportunity to experience an international conference and encouraging interactions among students.
