Sendai-based Interlink LLC has developed a cargo box that can be attached to a light truck and converted into a wing vehicle or camper. Crowdfunding has been started on CAMPFIRE to secure the necessary equipment for mass production and inventory for sales and rental of the cargo box.

Wing Body

The company's lightweight aluminum and polycarbonate cargo boxes can be easily loaded onto light trucks. Since the cargo box is treated as a load, no modification to the vehicle body or structural modification procedures are required. In addition, the overall height is allowed to be 2.5m, which allows for an interior height of 1.8m or more and a cargo length of 2.1m, making it suitable for camper use as well.

Since the cargo box is assembled, it can be made according to the dimensions of the vehicle body to be loaded, making it applicable to a wide variety of vehicle types, including light trucks of old standards. The company plans to offer rental services for specifications that are in high demand and is currently conducting a survey.
