I own a restaurant in Onomichi City, and as an Onomichi Tourism Ambassador, I am also involved in various activities and communications to convey the charms of Onomichi! I had a hard time in Corona, but my dream to brighten up my life with my favorite dance, which changed me from being a truant and lacking self-confidence, has come true and I will participate in the real Brazilian Samba Carnival on March 2, 2025. Through my challenge, I wanted to convey to as many people as possible that "if you don't give up, your dreams will come true" and "never give up on your dreams." That is why I decided to conduct this crowdfunding campaign."

After being bullied and truant from school in junior high school, Fukunaga made friends for the first time by becoming a show dancer. Dancing, which made people happy, became irreplaceable for Fukunaga.

After the death of his mother, who ran a restaurant, his family's business closed down. Feeling frustrated by the sudden loss of his parents' restaurant, he quit his job as a public prosecutor's assistant and began managing a restaurant in Onomichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture. Later, he was appointed as the Onomichi Tourism Ambassador.

After overcoming difficult times and management difficulties at Corona, he wondered if there was anything he could do to brighten the world around him through dance, and became fascinated by the bright rhythms and energy of samba, and set his sights on competing in Carnival in Brazil.
He is planning to enliven the town with samba, named after the town of Sanba, Onomichi, where he has a store.
About participating in the Brazilian Samba Carnival
The Brazilian Samba Carnival is a strictly judged contest with a prize money of several hundred million yen for the winner.
The top league teams have about 3,000 members each, and it is very difficult for foreigners to compete.
This time, Fukunaga has been selected to participate as a "composición," which is a particularly difficult position for a top league team dancing on a float.
