About Hermannharp
Hermannharp is an instrument developed by Mr. Hermann Veeh in Germany in 1987 for his son with Down syndrome. It is known as a revolutionary string instrument that allows anyone to play a tune with accompaniment by flicking the note balls from top to bottom, producing a beautiful tone with ease. There are more than 5,000 enthusiasts in Japan alone, regardless of disability, gender, or age.

■Concert Contents
66 people perform in this concert. The "Barrier-Free Orchestra" and the "Shining Senior Orchestra" playing the Hermannharp together, both with and without handicaps, will portray a hopeful SDG future through music.
The program includes a number of songs such as "Ode to Joy" and "Smile" that unite people around the world. Thirty years after the earthquake, a harpist, a victim of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, will read from his memoirs, and the Hermannharp Orchestra will perform "Shiawase Hakoberu Yoni" (Bring Happiness to the World), reminding us of the meaning of "life" and the importance of disaster prevention.
In the finale, we all experience the eternal separation from our loved ones. The Hermannharp Orchestra will sing "Aeru-sonotoki-made" (Till We Meet Again) to convey the importance of overcoming sorrow and looking forward to the next day.
