Kashima City, Saga Prefecture (Mayor: Katsutoshi Matsuo) will introduce "Kashima Sake Brewery Tourism(R)", a local tax payment service provided by DMC Aizu Corporation (Location: Aizu Wakamatsu City, Fukushima Prefecture, President: Shoji Endo). The new system will be introduced on March 22, 2025 (Saturday), when "Kashima Sake Brewery Tourism(R)" is scheduled to be held.

Background of the introduction of "local settlement type hometown tax payment

Kashima City, Saga Prefecture, has been utilizing the Furusato (hometown) tax payment system as a place to promote local specialties. From now on, we would like to focus on experience-based tax returns in order to make people more aware of the charms of Kashima City and to encourage them to become fans. As one of such efforts, we will start accepting local settlement-type hometown tax payments as a new initiative to support the local economy by utilizing the hometown tax payment system to revitalize the local community.

The starting date is Saturday, March 22, 2025, when Kashima Sake Brewery Tourism(R) will be held, and the "Furusato Ouen Tax(R) Electronic Coupon" can be used at two locations: the Tourism and Product Center in Hizen Kashima Station and Hizen Hama Station (HAMA BAR). The coupon can also be used to purchase the 5-warehouse set sold at the Hizen Kashima Station Tourist Product Center. The number of participating stores will be gradually expanded.
