Production intention

A student at Nihon University said, "I want to make a video work while I am still in college, or I will regret it! If I don't, I will regret it! and this project began when they decided to take action. Like-minded friends gathered together and began filming in January 2025. While this is the first time for many of us to shoot a film, we are working together to create a work of art, regardless of grade or department, with the focus on the students of Nichigai.

Themes of this year's film

This time, we would like to depict the theme of "suicide" and "youth. Although the number of people, including university students, who take their own lives is gradually decreasing, I have learned that there are still many. While daring to directly depict their suffering and pain, I wonder if there is any better way by taking the choice to live? Why is it right to continue living? How difficult is it to make the decision to live? I decided to depict these themes in this film because I want to convey and encourage as many people as possible to think about these issues through my work.

Synopsis

Hiiro, a university student, is unable to build a good relationship with the people around her and becomes isolated. When Tsubomi, another college student, finds out, she suggests that they have fun and then die together. Despite her confusion, Yosai accepts the proposal, and the day of the party arrives. On her last day with Tsubomi, Yousai's life changes drastically...

■Features

The feature of this work is that it is produced mainly by students of Nihon University College of Art (NICHIGEI students). Because the faculty brings together various artistic disciplines, including the director, cast, screenplay, and theme song, the film maximizes the strengths of each. In addition, many of the students are participating in film production for the first time. The director, cast, and staff are also participating for the first time, but they are all sharing their opinions and working together to create the film.
