Background of ASIAN HIPHOP CONNECTION "AH1

In recent years, young people under the age of 25, known as Generation Z, have moved away from newspapers and TV media, and are now gathering information mainly through the Internet and web media such as YouTube and SNS, and are able to select and choose what information they need and what information they do not need.

This has led them to concentrate more on watching and listening to their favorite music and artists, contributing to an increase in the number of fans of the artists. In addition, the HipHop genre, which used to have little exposure in newspapers and TV media, is gaining recognition and popularity through the Internet and web media, while at the same time the overall level of individual artists is increasing, and HipHop fans are beginning to capture the hearts of young people. This is the background that the number of HIPHOP fans continues to increase nationwide.

In addition, the ability to enjoy music all day long, the opportunity to experience cultural content for kids that they would not normally be able to experience, and the diversity of the various artists who perform one after another are all factors that attract fans to this event.

About ASIAN HIPHOP CONNECTION "AH1

AH1" is a project concept to connect HIPHOP in Asia.

Asia Highway 1 (AH1), one of the routes of the Asia Highway, which is planned to be a modern Silk Road crossing 32 Asian countries, will start from Tokyo, Japan, and connect Korea, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan and Afghanistan, We decided on the name "ASIAN HIGHWAY" as it connects Asia and Japan, and we hope that it will be a beacon for Japanese hip-hop to reach out to the rest of the world. From junior high school and high school students to people in their early 20's, the "Generation Z", to people in their 30's and 40's, as well as families, look forward to attending the festival and seeing the popular artists.

Thoughts and Wishes of the Organizers

In holding the festival on August 31 (Sun.), we sincerely hope to play a central role in connecting the appeal of HIPHOP from Japan to the world and from the world to Japan, based on the slogan "Connecting HIPHOP in Asia.

In addition, a free experience area for the KIDS DREAM PROJECT, launched in 2012, will be set up in the venue to support children's courage to take the first step to make their dreams come true in Japan.

≪About KIDS DREAM PROJECT

KIDS DREAM PROJECT (hereinafter referred to as "KDP") is a free space for kids to experience the culture of street culture learning from the "real thing" at the "AH1" venue. KDP's vision is to create the future for children.

KDP will be an exclusive space for children to experience street culture such as "dance," "DJ," "rap (singing)," "graffiti," "surfing," "BMX," and "skateboarding. We provide a place where children can receive direct instruction from actual artists and dancers. We recognize that our mission is to create an environment in which children can grow up freely, with their "dreams = future" as our priority.

One of our goals is to "help them understand why they are standing on that stage," and we hope that eventually, children who have been exposed to and experienced various things through KDP will grow up to be able to stand on the main stage. We are convinced that these activities will raise the level of the scene, raise the level of Japan's future, and spread throughout Asia and the world.

We would like to spread this culture, give hope to children's future, and support their dreams.
