What is Azumino Pastured Pork?

Azumino pastured pigs are raised on pasture in a vast area and fed with local ingredients for a longer fattening period than normal pigs. By raising pigs in a stress-free environment, antibiotics and hormones are not used (except for vaccines). This high-quality pork is characterized by its low odor, fine texture and sweet fat, and has little lye when cooked.
