■ Background

Overseas, the concept of animal welfare is widespread, and livestock are raised in a manner that minimizes stress. In Japan, more than 90% of poultry farms keep chickens in small wire mesh cages called "battery cages. We were one of the first to adopt the flat-raised chicken rearing method, which allows the chickens to move around. This time, we decided to take on the challenge of producing organic eggs, which are subject to stricter rearing and feed standards.

Organic feed is fed to our hens as feed.

Chickens are kept in a flat-feeding environment, allowing them to move around without stress.

Hygienic breeding environment

The hens spend their time in the flat-feeding coops on the tops of the sunken bamboo mats, which enables hygienic egg production as they rarely come in contact with chicken feces.
