Outline of the "Spring and Autumn Kojima Fest #Fibersai

The "Spring and Autumn Kojima Fest #Fibersai" was established in 1955 as the "Kojima Textile Festival. The Kojima Textile Festival has changed its name to the Fibers & Textiles Kojima Festival and the Fibers & Textiles Kojima Seto-ohashi Festival, and is now held as the Spring Kojima Fes #Fibersai in the area in front of Kojima Station and as the Autumn Kojima Fes #Fibersai at the Kojima Boat Race Track in autumn.

The "Spring Fes #Fibersai" is held in the area from JR Kojima Station to the Kojima Ekimae Shopping Street, Ajino Shopping Street, and the former Nozaki Family Residence, and is divided into three areas: the Kojima Ekimae Area, the Sanpakuichi Area, and the Jeans Street Area. The event has been held as a citizen-participatory event. The "Made in Kojima" sales tent and local delicacies such as "tako-meshi" (octopus rice) from Shimotsui are very popular, and the event attracts many people not only from within Okayama Prefecture but also from outside Okayama Prefecture every year, making it one of the most well attended events in the prefecture.

2025 Spring Kojima Fest #Fibersai

Date and time: April 26 (Sat.) and 27 (Sun.), 2025 9:00-17:00 (THE DENiM 2025 until 16:00 on 27 (Sun.))

Location：Area from JR Kojima Station area to Kojima Ekimae Shopping Street, Ajino Shopping Street, and the former Nozaki Family Residence

The event will be held in three areas: Kojima Station Area, Sanpakuichi Area, and Jeans Street Area.

In the Kojima Station Area, there will be many tents selling "Made in Kojima" jeans and other textile products, as well as Kojima's specialty "Tako-meshi" (octopus rice) and various other food and beverage tents. In addition to singing and dancing of various genres, there will be a cosplay event, a "Seto-ohashi Ondo" dance performance, a "Tokohai Shimotsui-bushi" dance performance, a karaoke contest, and other events.

In the Sanbakuichi area, gourmet foods from Okayama Prefecture will be gathered. Visitors can also enjoy a flea market and stage events.

In the Jeans Street area, "THE DENiM 2025" will be held at the Kojima Civic Exchange Center Lawn. This is one of the largest denim events in Japan, and denim from the world's most popular brands will be sold at special prices for these two days only. There will also be a wide selection of food.

We expect the event to be very crowded on the day of the event. Please use public transportation as much as possible when coming to the event, as parking is limited.

Kojima Fes #Fibersai Executive Committee

Organized by Kurashiki City, the Kurashiki Convention & Visitors Bureau, various local organizations, and the Kojima Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the committee aims to promote Kojima, the starting point of the Seto-ohashi Bridge, and to promote the rapid development of textile and other industries while deepening harmony with the local residents.
