Background: Experiences in the field that made us keenly aware of the lack of places for children to go

The Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare estimates that there are approximately 20,000 children under the age of 18 who require medical care such as ventilators and suction devices nationwide, an increase of 1.5 times over the past 10 years*1 However, in Hokkaido, there is still a lack of day-care facilities that are wheelchair accessible and have power for medical equipment, forcing parents to travel long distances. As a physiotherapist, I have worked with hospitals and welfare institutions to provide wheelchair-accessible facilities for children.

After 12 years of working as physical therapists at hospitals and welfare facilities, the Izumi couple saw that children "lack options for play and social experiences" after being discharged from hospitals, and decided to establish the corporation in 2024.
