SWEET GIRL RUN" Running Event for Women Held in Asahikawa, Hokkaido for the first time in 6 years September 15, 2025 (Monday, national holiday)

The "Sweet Girl Run," a women's running festival, will take place in Asahikawa City, Hokkaido, on Monday, September 15, 2025, which is a national holiday. This will be the first time the event has been held since 2020, when it was suspended due to the start of the pandemic.

Many large-scale running events were canceled during the pandemic. As restrictions eased, the cost of participating, including transportation and accommodation fees, skyrocketed. Consequently, the number of participants in running events has decreased and has yet to recover. Nevertheless, we will resume the event in 2025.

Starting Scene

Since its first event, Sweet Girl Run has been designed as a space where women, who have traditionally had fewer enthusiasts than men, can enjoy running together without feeling self-conscious or competing for speed or rankings. The concept is "to make women shine through running," and this vision guided the creation of the event. For this 10th event, our goal is to create a running event where everyone can have fun simply by participating, regardless of their experience or athletic ability. We want women who are not athletes to be able to shine and enjoy themselves, too. All women, regardless of age or fitness level, are welcome to join us for this fun-filled event. Costumes are encouraged! While the event is for women only, parent-child pairs are welcome, and boys and girls in elementary school can participate. We are honored to have Aman Kaori, also known as "Aman-chan," as our special guest. If you'd like to run with her, please join us!

The course ranges from 3 to 15 kilometers and utilizes riverside cycling paths, making it accessible to those who don't usually run. Enjoy the course at your own pace! If you get tired, you can walk—just take your time and aim for the finish line!

At the event venue, we have prepared fun activities, such as face painting, beauty treatments, and massage booths. There will also be free food and sweets. After the race, we will hold a grand raffle with luxurious prizes!

Category/entry fee (eligibility):

 3km/3,000 yen (elementary school students and older)

 5.5km/4,000 yen (junior high school students and older)

 10km / 4,500 yen (high school students and older)

 15km/5,500 yen (high school students and older)

 Parent-child pair / 3,000 yen (mother + male/female elementary school student)

  - More than 2 children in a pair can participate.

  - Additional 500 yen for each additional elementary school student
