Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, one of the world's leading mountain tourism routes connecting Toyama and Nagano prefectures (operated by Tateyama Kurobe Kanko Co., Ltd.; head office: Toyama City, Toyama Prefecture), will hold the music event "Tateyama Street Piano" from September 20 (Saturday) to September 23 (Tuesday, holiday) at Murodo, 2,450m above sea level. As a pre-event, performers will be invited to play street piano at Toyama Station on August 2 (Sat.) and August 15 (Fri.).

What is "Tateyama Street Piano"?

"Tateyama Street Piano," an event to enjoy music in the mountains, will be held for the third time this year due to its popularity, and anyone can freely play the piano in Muroto, 2,450 meters above sea level. The piano will be set up on the rooftop of the Murodo Terminal, where the Tateyama mountain range can be viewed up close. In a space surrounded by the autumnal mountains, both performers and listeners can enjoy a luxurious time together. In addition, on the final day, Oda-san [Key] and Hina-san [Vo] of the "Super Mountaineering Club," which combines music and mountain climbing, will perform as special guests.

For the first time this year, a pre-event will be held to recruit performers for the opening event of the Tateyama Street Piano. Performers will be selected from among those who perform at the Toyama Station Street Piano, and will receive a ticket for the Alpine Route to Murodo, the venue of the event.
