One-Stop Solution for Mountain Owners and Inheritance Registration Issues Started "Relief Service for Entire Forest" in Ishikawa Town, Fukushima Prefecture

The Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Foundation of Japan (AFFA), established in June 2024 by Takahiro Hirayama, founder of Nihon Shakai Giken, Inc. and appointed as its representative director, has spent about a year compiling 10 business plans to realize the creation of towns, people, and work (regional development).

One of these projects, the "Safety Service for Entire Mountain Forests," will begin trial operations in Ishikawa Town, Fukushima Prefecture, on August 20, 2025.

What is the "Forestry Safety Service"?

This is a one-stop service for owners of forests who are having trouble registering their inheritance, which became mandatory in April 2024, and for those who have inherited but do not know what to do with the forests they have inherited. In addition to forestry professionals, we work with lawyers, tax accountants, judicial scriveners, administrative scriveners, and other experts to solve problems for those who are having trouble with their forests.

Purpose of the "Forestry Service for Peace of Mind

We will contribute to the conservation and utilization of forests, which can be considered a purely domestic resource, from the perspective of regional development by regenerating forests in Fukushima Prefecture that have been left untouched and devastated since the nuclear accident. We would also like to follow up on those who have not been able to return to their homes after evacuation and those who have relocated to other areas. We will start this project in Ishikawa Town, Fukushima Prefecture.

Judicial scriveners, administrative scriveners, tax accountants, and inheritance consultants will work together to smoothly handle and support complicated inheritance procedures and name changes.

(2) Boundary and land title surveys are also available

In cooperation with lawyers, land and house investigators, and geological survey companies, we conduct professional on-site surveys and sort out even land with unknown boundaries or discrepancies in land title.

(3) Evaluation and proposal by professionals in forestry and forest utilization

A forestry business operator checks the site and visualizes the asset value of the mountain. We also provide consultation on utilization plans and sales.

(4) Complete remote support is available even when the owner is not available.

The service is available even for those who live far away by mail, online interview, on-site proxy survey, etc.
