The voluntary organization Miri Writer Club (Representative: Miku Nakamura) has launched a free writing course project on the crowdfunding platform "CAMPFIRE" to foster children's creativity and self-expression, and has begun accepting applications for support from July 2025. ( https://camp-fire.jp/projects/863707/view ) The project will conduct creative writing workshops for elementary school students and produce an art booklet, "MINT Vol. 2," as a finishing touch. The completed booklet will be distributed mainly in Tokyo, and the experience and results of the children's "drawing the world in their own words" will be delivered to society at large.

What is the Mirai★Writer Club?

The "Mirai★Writer Club" offers creative writing courses for elementary school students to experience the joy of writing. Focusing on "free expression" and "the joy of self-expression," which school education cannot fully handle, workshops by professional writers and scriptwriters nurture children's creativity and sense of self-affirmation. As a finishing touch to the course, an art booklet "MINT" containing the works of the participating children is produced. Once completed, the booklet will be distributed around Tokyo as a compilation of the children's perspectives on local art and culture, and their voices will be conveyed to society. Our goal is to promote this kind of practical writing education as a "standard for the future" that everyone can take for granted.

Writing Courses at the Mirai★Writer Club

The MILLION WRITER CLUB was started out of a desire to create a place where children can freely enjoy writing. While school education tends to focus on "the right way to write," the purpose of the club is for students to experience the joy of creative writing by putting into words what they feel from their own point of view. In the course, professional writers, copywriters, authors, and scriptwriters serve as instructors, and in addition to learning the basics of writing, the curriculum includes hands-on activities such as covering local art and culture. The course fosters not only the ability to write, but also the ability to think, communicate, and believe in oneself.
