APAMAN Corporation, Apaman Network Inc. (Head office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President: Kai Yamazaki / Consolidated subsidiary of APAMAN Corporation), which operates Apaman Shop, the No. 1* rental housing agency in Japan, announces that Apamanshop member company Ernesto Co. (headquartered in Mishima City, Shizuoka Prefecture) will participate in the Mishima Grand Festival to be held on August 15, 2025, as one of its community contribution activities.

As part of the APAMAN Group's activities to promote the SDGs, and as an initiative to connect local nature and culture to the future, Ernesto Corporation has been cleaning up Genpei River, which flows through Mishima City, for over 20 years. Through this activity, we are protecting the clear stream inhabited by fireflies and contributing to the preservation of the natural environment. We will also participate in this festival in order to work together with local residents to pass on local culture.

These activities to protect the clear streams and support the traditions of the town are attracting attention as an ideal model of co-creation between companies and local communities, which is also linked to the SDGs "Create a town where people can continue to live (Goal 11).

A future of fireflies dancing in clean waters

Genpei River, which flows through the center of Mishima City, is a beautiful clear stream fed by spring water from Mt. In order to preserve this natural environment for the future, Ernesto Corporation has continued regular cleanup activities with all employees for nearly 20 years.

In recent years, as the neighborhood associations have aged, there has been a shortage of volunteers, and the entire staff has joined together to be a "leader" of the community. During the annual cleanup, nearly 100 45-liter bags of trash are collected each time. Even in the face of a massive amount of weeds, we have continued to clean up every year without fail with the idea of "starting with a small step first.

Passing on the pride of the community, the Mishima Grand Festival, to the next generation

The Mishima Grand Festival, held every year from August 15 to 17 as the annual festival of Mishima-taisha Shrine, is the largest traditional event in Mishima City. The festival is the largest traditional event in Mishima City, and the floats and the sound of the shagiri (musical accompaniment) are a highlight of the summer nights in Mishima. As a member of the local neighborhood association, Ernesto Co., Ltd. actively participates in the float competition in its turn year, and in 2025, five of our staff members are scheduled to perform at the float competition on Friday, August 15.

The Mishima Grand Festival is a symbol of the "bond of community" that local residents and the company protect together. The company also encourages new employees and young staff to participate, passing on local culture and human connections to the next generation through the festival.
