The Yatsu Festival, a festival created by all those who love Yatsugatake The second "Yatsu Festival" will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025!

The Yatsu Matsuri Executive Committee will hold the Yatsu Matsuri (Yatsu Festival), an autumn festival founded by local volunteers, on Saturday, September 20, 2025 in the Kiyosato area of Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture.

The inaugural event in 2024 attracted a large number of visitors, including local residents and tourists, and became a day to feel the connection between nature and people in the Yatsugatake Mountains.

This year, the festival has been revamped to bring together local food, music, fun, and culture to provide enjoyment for all ages and walks of life. Local stores and kitchen car vendors, gorgeous stage performances, Bon Odori dancing around a yagura, fireworks launches, and more make this a major autumn event with plenty to see and do.

What is the Yatsu Festival?

The Yatsu Festival is a festival that brings together all the people who live, work, and protect the Yatsugatake Mountains.

Yatsumatsuri is a festival created by all those who love Yatsugatake.

It started as a place where local restaurants, craftspeople, and musicians gather at the foot of Yatsugatake, a mountain rich in nature, to share the "joy of making things by hand" with visitors.

The event aims to be a day to appreciate life and celebrate connections in Kiyosato in September, when the busy farming and sightseeing seasons are winding down.
