Atami Bataian opened in August 2021, specializing in sweet bean paste and butter, a blend of Japanese and Western sweets, in collaboration with Mataichi An, a long-established Japanese sweets store that has represented Shizuoka since its establishment in 1871. The shop's many creative sweets, which combine homemade red bean paste made from Hokkaido Erimo azuki beans and mild butter, which Mataichi An has passed down for over 150 years, have been very well received by customers of all ages, especially the signature product, Atami Bataa Anpan. In particular, the signature product, "Atami Bataa Anpan" has become a very popular item, selling a cumulative total of more than 1.25 million units (as of July 2025).
