Purpose of the Supporters' Association

●We will actively support Ajigawa stable and Aonishiki at the Osaka Sumo  tournament.

●We will hold a pep rally for Aonishiki before the Osaka Sumo tournament. [scheduled for Monday, March 2, 2026]

●We will actively participate in the Senshuraku Ceremony and Report Meeting hosted by Ajigawa stablein in Osaka Sumo tournament. [scheduled for Sunday, March 22, 2026]


The rules and membership fees of the supporters' association are currently under consideration.

Profile of Aonishiki

Aonishiki was born on March 23, 2004, in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. His real name is Danilo Yavgusyshyn. He is well built, standing 182.0 cm tall and weighing 140.0 kg (as of 2025), and specializes in such techniques as "watashikomi" from the right-hand four, "uchimuso" , and "kirikaeshi" . He decides the match with a variety of techniques inherited from his master Aminishiki , and is also good at "yori," a move in which he firmly holds his opponent in place and attacks. He made his first appearance in the ring in September 2023, and belongs to the Ajigawa stable. His master is Ajigawa Oyakata, a former Sekiwake, Aminishiki.


He came to Japan in 2022 in response to the worsening situation in Ukraine, and trained at Kansai University in Japan. He also studied Japanese diligently and has improved to the point where he can now converse fluently. His Sumo ring name "Arata" was named in honor of Mr. Arata Yamanaka, who supported him in the Kansai University Sumo Club.

Aonishiki won the European Sumo Championships (under 100 kg), and placed third in the World Junior Sumo Championships.

He was promoted to the juryo division for the first time in the November Sumo Tournament of 2024, and became the Makuuchi division for the first time in the March 2025 Sumo Tournament.

In the July Sumo Tournament of 2025, he moved up to the top rank in the Higashi-maegashira division and won a gold star from yokozuna Toyoshoryu.
