Kaishu, a long-established ryokan in Yuhigaura Onsen (located in Kyotango City, Kyoto Prefecture; operated by Kaishu Corporation), is an inn where you can enjoy the king of winter delicacies, snow crab, to your heart's content. To commemorate this year's total of more than 1 million servings, we have prepared a special plan for a limited time only, from January 5, 2026 to April 5, 2026. We also paid a visit to the "Fish Basket Kannon (Fukujuin)," a symbol of the community, to express our gratitude and pray for continued growth.

Praying to the "Uozon Kannon" (Cradle of Fish Goddess of Mercy)

In order to commemorate this event, we paid a visit to the "Fish Basket Kannon" enshrined at Fukujuin Temple, which is located not far from the hotel. While the Fish Basket Kannon is usually seen holding a basket of fish, the Kannon of Yuhigaura is known as a rare figure holding a crab, and is familiar to local people as a symbol of the fishing industry and the bounty of the sea. Through this visit to the shrine, we are grateful for the "seafood" that our hotel has provided and renew our desire to continue to provide our guests with a safe and prosperous trip.
