Kurashiki City (Mayor: Kaori Ito, Location: Nishinakashinden, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture) will hold the "National Night Views of Factories Summit in Kurashiki" on Sunday, November 2, 2025, with the aim of raising awareness of the city as a city with night views of factories and promoting night tourism through exchange with other cities.

On the day of the event, a variety of events will be held at the Mizushima Aiai Salon, including a stage event in which all the factory night view cities in Japan will gather, a marché featuring about 30 stores, PR booths for companies and local governments, a stamp rally, and more. The event will conclude with a bus tour of the spectacular factory night view, available only to those who apply, so that visitors can fully enjoy the charm of the spectacular factory night view that Kurashiki is proud of. What is the National Night Views of Factories Summit?

The National Night Views of Factories Summit is held annually on a rotating basis by cities that are members of the "National Night Views of Factories City Council" for the purpose of utilizing night views of factories as a tourism resource, increasing their visibility, revitalizing local communities, and promoting tourism. The first event was held in February 2011, and the Council was established in 2009. Kurashiki City joined the council this year, and as the 14th city in Japan with a factory nightscape, Kurashiki City aims to increase its recognition as a "factory nightscape city" and promote "nightscape tourism" by holding this summit, which will lead to an increase in lodging and tourism spending.

At the "National Night Views of Factories Summit in Kurashiki," a stage will be held on the community floor of the east wing of the venue, where local government officials who are members of the National Night Views of Factories Council will promote the appeal of night views of factories, the Mizushima Town Development Council will introduce the development of Mizushima, and students from Kurashiki Kojoike High School will present their "Mizushima Complex Cruise" program. The outdoor space will feature about 30 shops.

In addition to food such as deep-fried churros, ramen noodles, tempura skewers, and hamburgers, drinks such as white peach nectar, and handmade goods such as aroma candles, visitors can also experience workshops such as making light sticks and sea glass art. Promoting Kurashiki's Attractiveness by Holding the Summit in Cooperation with the Local Community

The Summit will be held in cooperation with the local community. In addition to stage presentations by local organizations, students from Kurashiki Chuo High School will provide operational support, companies from the Mizushima Industrial Zone will offer sponsored products, and local restaurants will open marché stalls.

Prior to the summit, photos of night views of the city's factories will be displayed on the trains of the Mizushima Waterfront Area Railway from October 3 (Friday) to November 4 (Monday), and a head mark will be displayed. A panel display is also planned at the Summit venue on the day of the Summit.
