1. Future Community — A StagePerformance that Traversed Time and Resonance

Date: Saturday, August 2, 2025

Venue: Future Life Village Stage

The Future Community performance was designed around the core concept that the communities will be shaped not merely by infrastructure or technology, but by resonance — the emotional alignment between people. The production featured a narrative that traveled across three time periods: the present (represented by “Oggy”), the year 2050 (character “Addy”), and the year 2100 (character “Solar”).

Through interconnected sub-stories such as the Global Harmony Nexus, Smart Music Lounge, and Eco-Rhythm Program, the stage invited audiences into a fully interactive co-creation experience that transcended time and space.

By merging technology, creativity, and empathy into a single immersive performance, the event provided visitors with a profound opportunity to “experience the future as their own.”

2. Story of Songs We Make — Global Harmony Way

Date: Thursday, August 14, 2025 11:30-12:00

Venue: Future Life Village TE1 Stage

The Story of Songs We Make — Global Harmony Way project was officially registered under Expo’s TEAM EXPO 2025 Co-Creation Challenge, embodying the core spirit of international collaboration through collective music-making. Centered around the theme of emotional support and unity, the featured song “Get Well” (music and lyrics by Oggy) was co-recorded by 43 contributors across multiple countries, serving as a message of encouragement to those facing hardship.

During the stage presentation, the Get Well music video was showcased alongside a live appearance by Oggy and participants from five African countries, offering the audience a powerful, tangible experience of global resonance. Beyond being a musical performance, the program served as a “vessel for empathy,” demonstrating how co-creation can transcend linguistic and cultural barriers to create shared emotional connection.

3. Sustainable Future — Kobe University Collaborative Exhibition

Exhibition

Period: September 30 - October 6, 2025

Physical Exhibition: September 30 – October 6,  2025 (Booth D3, Future Life Village)    Virtual Exhibition: September 16 – October 13,  2025 (Expo Virtual “West Gate Island”)

Scaleout participated as a key collaborator in the Sustainable Future exhibition hosted at the Kobe University booth, presenting an AI-driven recycling support concept designed to address the growing plastics challenge in urban Africa. This initiative was conducted in connection with the “SDGs Future Business Student Contest,” supported by the Hyogo SDGs Open Innovation ecosystem, with the Kobe University SDGs Promotion Office serving as the secretariat — an initiative in which Scaleout has served as an ongoing partner.

The exhibit showcased student-led innovations, including “Petty-kun,” a concept created by students from Otemae University and Kyoritsu Women’s University, which won second prize in the 2024 contest. Originally inspired by waste management challenges in Ghana, the model was re-applied to Nigeria’s waste issues — an environmental concern Scaleout has previously highlighted from a corporate perspective. Additionally, the exhibition introduced the “WELL WASTE WAY” — a comprehensive framework for rethinking recycling behaviors — alongside tangible outcomes such as “Felle,” a bag product by Kojima Sangyo Co., Ltd. made entirely from recycled plastic bottles.

Notably, interns from Africa contributed to planning, booth operations, and direct presentations, ensuring that local insights were embedded into the exhibition narrative. “I really enjoyed my time at the Future Life Village Pavilion,” shared Fathia Jombi Kheir, one of the booth explainers. “I had the opportunity to present our efforts to collect plastic waste and promote recycling, introduce our bags made from plastic bottles, and engage in meaningful discussions with visitors and other exhibitors.”

Future Development

Building on the success of its Expo initiatives, Scaleout is developing a Co-Creation Community Platform that connects AI and culture, designed to serve as a social implementation model that bridges entertainment, technology, and sustainability.
