Background of Service Provision

In recent years, as companies accelerate their digital transformation (DX), they are increasingly shifting their IT infrastructure from on-premise to the cloud to improve business continuity and productivity. In the process, the safe and rapid migration of critical data held by companies has become a factor that determines the speed of DX promotion.

However, in many cases, it takes several months to migrate terabytes of data over a network, and even when a new dedicated line is installed, several months of lead time is required before the data can be used. Furthermore, in cases of one-time use, such as cloud uploading only a few times a year, the high annual maintenance costs are a major burden on management, making it difficult to solve the problem with conventional methods.

Features of the Cloud Data Import Service

This service delivers storage specially designed for physical transport to the user's location and collects the data after it has been copied. High-speed transfer is performed from our facilities to each cloud service via a pre-installed 10Gbps dedicated transfer line.

This method enables companies to migrate to the cloud more realistically and efficiently with a much shorter lead time than network transfers and without the high maintenance costs of dedicated lines.

Migration of up to 320TB to the cloud in a few days

This service migrates a maximum of 320TB (running capacity) to the cloud at a time. Importing starts within 24 hours after the data transfer storage arrives at our facilities, and can be completed in up to 3 days. Data migration on a scale that would take several months using conventional network transfer can be completed in a short period of time.

Simple fee structure reduces total cost

This service adopts an easy-to-understand, capacity-based fee structure. It reduces hidden costs such as long waiting times that occur when transferring large volumes of data over a network, fixed costs associated with maintaining leased lines, and monitoring and operational burdens on the IT department. Even in cases of infrequent use, the system can be used efficiently only when necessary, thus significantly reducing total costs compared to conventional methods.

High security through encryption and compliance with international standards

The data transport storage used in this service supports AES256 encryption and can only be accessed from a PC with a specific authentication file. After the import is complete, the data is encrypted and erased in compliance with U.S. government standards, and a certificate is issued. Furthermore, the facility where the import process takes place is operated under a management system compliant with ISO27001 and SOC2, ensuring peace of mind during the process of migration to the cloud.

After users copy their data to the data transport storage, all they have to do is contact us with a collection request. After that, our contracted delivery company will come to collect the data directly, eliminating the need for complicated shipping work.
