Ascentec and Soliton, to Provide "Isolated Environment Access Solution to provide "Separate Environment Access Solution" compliant with municipal guidelines.
アセンテック株式会社
Ascentec Corporation (headquartered in Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Takashi Matsuura, President; hereinafter "the Company") and Soliton Systems Corporation (headquartered in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Osamu Kamata, President; hereinafter "Soliton") have launched the "Separate Environment Access Solution" to provide local governments with secure access to their administrative networks that use their personal number. This solution was developed and provided by Soliton.
This solution is based on a combination of the "Remote PC Array" developed and provided by the Company, "Soliton SecureWorkspace," which realizes data-less PCs, and Soliton's multi-factor authentication solution, "SmartOn ID," to provide secure access to the LGWAN connection system and Internet connection system. By linking "Soliton SecureWorkspace," which enables "Soliton SecureWorkspace" to be used for "LGWAN" and "Internet," and Soliton's multi-factor authentication solution "SmartOn ID," secure access to the My Number usage office system can be realized from business terminals installed in other segments, such as LGWAN and Internet connection, in compliance with the "Guidelines for Information Security Policy in Local Public Organizations.
In March 2025, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications revised the "Guidelines for Information Security Policies of Local Public Organizations. The revised guidelines include partial changes to the requirements for access to office systems using My Number, and the use of screen transfer methods (e.g., VDI) is now recommended for environments where access was previously recommended using dedicated terminals.
While this will eliminate the need for multiple business terminals, for municipalities with a small number of employees, cost and securing human resources have become issues for implementation.
Our "Remote PC Array" is a remote access infrastructure suitable for isolated environments, which solves the cost and hypervisor issues associated with VDI construction and operation by incorporating multiple physical PCs and the components necessary for VDI in a single chassis.
By combining this with Soliton SecureWorkspace, it is relatively inexpensive and easy to meet the requirements for connecting to office systems that use my number in compliance with the guidelines.
By implementing this solution, the number of dedicated terminals for office work using My Number can be consolidated on the "Remote PC Array," reducing the number of physical terminals installed within the agency. In addition, by utilizing the secure browser of "Soliton SecureWorkspace," the number of dedicated terminals for Internet connection can be reduced and a secure separation environment can be realized, enabling cost-saving and efficient operation of the terminal environment within the agency. In addition, "SmartOn ID," which has the largest market share in Japan*, and "Soliton OneGate," the first ISMAP-certified IDaaS in Japan, can be used for multi-factor authentication recommended in the guidelines. This makes it possible to implement not only a separate environment but also an authentication infrastructure.
The Company and Soliton will deploy this solution to local governments throughout Japan to contribute to the realization of a secure and efficient work environment that complies with the revised guidelines.
We will also actively propose this solution to financial institutions, medical institutions, and other fields that operate in a separate network environment.
* Based on the results of the "2004-2024 Network Security Business Survey Survey of Device Authentication Tools" conducted by Fuji Chimera Research Institute, Inc.

Comment
The revision of the guidelines is a major turning point for local governments, and solutions are needed to ensure security and efficient operations. We are very pleased to collaborate with Asentech to provide a "Separate Environment Access Solution" including Soliton SecureWorkspace and authentication infrastructure. We are honored to be able to contribute to the strengthening of the digital infrastructure of Japanese local governments through collaboration between Japanese IT companies. We will continue to contribute to the realization of a secure and sustainable work environment for organizations in Japan through the collaboration of our two companies.

What is Remote PC Array?
It is a self-planned product based on more than 20 years of experience in selling and building virtual desktops.
In general, virtual desktops are an excellent solution for security and telework, but system construction and operation have required highly skilled engineers and long construction periods. Remote PC Array addresses these issues by improving PC consolidation rates, reducing installation costs, shortening installation periods, and improving maintenance and operability while ensuring security.
