Autumn Fun 2025" in Machida City, Tokyo, Japan! -A fantastic sea of clouds and autumn foliage lighting up the autumn night~!

Machida City, Tokyo, is currently holding "Autumn Fun 2025 - Days to Come, See, Experience, and Tell Someone" from October 1 (Wed). The annual illumination of the autumn leaves at Yakushi Pond will begin on Saturday, November 15. We hope you will come back again and again to enjoy the changing of the seasons.

Autumn Foliage Light-up

Saturday, November 15 - Sunday, November 30, 17:00 - 20:00, Yakushi Pond

This is the only time of the year when the park is open at night. Maples around the pond and the large ginkgo tree at Yakushido will be lit up. On windless nights, the Taiko Bridge and the moon are reflected on the surface of the water, creating a breathtaking sight. Also new this year, LED bulbs on the wisteria trellis reproduce the blossoms of the Japanese wisteria. You can see them shimmering in the wind.

In conjunction with FC Machida Zelvia's final home game of the season on Sunday, November 30, the Taiko Bridge will be dyed blue, Zelvia's color, for two days only on Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30.

You may see Taiko Bridge floating in the clouds. The Yakushi Pond is a fantastic sight. The view changes depending on the time of day and temperature, so please enjoy the scenery that is unique to that particular day and time.

*The appearance of the sea of clouds depends on the direction of the wind and temperature. In addition, the visibility may go completely white around the Taiko Bridge, but the situation will change after a short time. Please proceed slowly after safety is confirmed.

■Fujino-dai Elementary School 6th Grade Students: Come and Love Machida Project "Fun Creating Art in Autumn

Sixth graders of Fujinodai Elementary School in Machida City took photos of the scenery and animals in Shikisai-no-mori, which they consider one of the "good points of Machida," and made a photo book entitled "One and Only Photo Album in Machida" in their comprehensive class.

Each group created a different photo album, which will be placed in the "Photo Salon," the "Dahlia Garden," the "Shichikokuyama Farmers Center," the "Furusato Farm Tools Museum," the "Squirrel Garden," and the "West Garden. Also on display at the Photo Salon will be ornaments made from pine cones and acorn key chains, which were handmade from natural products collected by the students themselves.

Free of charge *Please come standing outside the building. No prior application is necessary.

This is a day in autumn when you can listen to a story about Noh, experience Noh chanting, and watch a performance by Machida City-based Kikaku Inoue, a Noh performer of the Kinshun school. Recommended for those who are learning Noh for the first time.

JR/Odakyu Machida Station & Kannachu Joint Event - Machida Autumn Festival

Three companies, including a railroad company, will make a one-day trip to Yakushi Pond. You can ride a mini-train (for a fee), operate an N-gauge train, or wear a uniform to experience being a stationmaster or driver.

Take a bus from the north exit of Machida Station on the Odakyu Line and get off at "Yakushiike" or "Yakushigaoka".

Machida Yakushiike Park Shikisai-no-mori

This is the collective name for the area where Yakushi Pond and its surrounding facilities with rich natural environment, history and culture exist. There are nine facilities: Yakushi Pond, West Garden, Machida City Photo Salon, Botan Garden, Ebine Garden, Squirrel Garden, Dahlia Garden, Shichikokuyama Farmers Center, and Furusato Farm Tools Museum.
