Edu-Technology Co. (Head office: Koto-ku, Tokyo; CEO: Yoshihiro Sakagami), which provides consultation services to school boards and schools nationwide, from the selection of ICT equipment to its use, will begin accepting applications from three schools (school boards) for participation in the "Creating the Future of Education in Japan: AI Education Co-Creation Challenge 2026," a project to work together to solve problems at school sites. Edu-Technology hopes to fundamentally change the way busy teachers work and maximize their time with children. However, the answer lies only in the field. This challenge project is not just an introduction of generative AI, but a challenge to find solutions together using the cutting-edge technology of generative AI to the serious issues facing Japanese schools (e.g., teachers' increasing busyness, barriers to personalized learning) and to create a model case for the rest of the country. We aim to create an educational model for the next generation of schools by combining the real issues that schools face with our AI implementation know-how and educational DX consulting experience.

We are looking for schools that will accompany and take on this challenge together with us for about a year with a passion for education in Japan and supporting children's growth.

■Objective of this challenge: Because "the answer is only in the field

Edu-Technology hopes to fundamentally change the way busy teachers work and maximize their time with children. The answer, however, does not lie within an IT company like ours. The answer is only in the field.

Japanese schools are faced with such pressing issues as "teachers are becoming extremely busy" and "barriers to achieving 'personalized and optimal learning'". In response, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) also emphasizes the potential of AI for both "reducing school workload" and "realizing personalized and optimal learning.

This challenge is not a mere introduction of AI tools. This challenge aims to "co-create" a next-generation school model by combining the real issues that schools face with our AI implementation know-how and educational DX consulting experience.

We are looking for challengers to "co-create" the education of the future.

We are looking for people who are willing to "work together" on this grand challenge in the following three categories.

(1) Private schools, (2) Public schools, (3) Public schools, (4) Private schools

(1)One private junior high school and one private high school

Solving issues related to the school's unique educational philosophy and academic performance, and building a model for streamlining the school's own administrative operations.

(2)Board of education (elementary and junior high school) 1 organization

Improving the efficiency of educational administration for the entire region, building a model to support the introduction of AI to all schools in the region

(3)Public high school: 1 school

Responding to the reform of university entrance examinations and inquiry-based learning, building a model for utilization in fostering AI literacy among students

Edu-Technology will "accompany" and provide full support (free of charge)

We would like challenge schools to first share all "real issues" with us. We will provide the following support free of charge and accompany them thoroughly for about one year.

Tailor-made AI implementation consulting

We will develop a strategy to utilize AI that is specifically tailored to your school's issues, and accompany you in its implementation.

Provision of dedicated AI tools (no prompting required)

We build and provide dedicated AI tools and optimal settings so that teachers on site do not need to think about complex instructions (prompts).

Various training programs (AI application, learning evaluation)

We provide practical AI training for all teachers (at least once) and on-demand lectures (7 lectures in total) to update the way of "learning evaluation" based on the premise of AI utilization.

Support for the formulation of guidelines for the use of AI

We support the formulation of guidelines so that students, parents, and teachers can use AI with peace of mind.

Selection Method:

Initial screening (documents): Screening will be based on the information provided in the application form.

Second round (online interview): Interviews (approx. 1 hour) with the administration and at least 2 teachers in charge will be held for schools that pass the first round.

*Schools will be selected based on a comprehensive evaluation of the specificity of the issue, enthusiasm for the challenge, organizational structure, and ICT environment.
