Background of the "Welcoming the New Year Festival with One Heart

In September 2025, Makinohara City was severely damaged by Typhoon No. 15, including one of the largest tornadoes ever recorded in Japan. We would like to express our deepest sympathies to all those affected by the disaster. Our station was also damaged by the typhoon due to flooding and power outages, and had to close. With the cooperation of the local community, we focused on cheering up the local residents by distributing free curry rice and other dishes. Even today, many houses have yet to be rebuilt, but as the "first" roadside station in Makinohara City, we planned this year-end and New Year's event in order to enliven the local community.
