Background of the Update

Since its founding, Kuraray has applied its expertise in mountaineering (load dispersion technology), in which children walk for long hours with heavy loads on their backs, to school backpacks to reduce the burden of commuting to school for many children. For the 2027 model, we focused on "reducing the stress of daily preparation and operation" in addition to reducing the burden in terms of functionality. By reviewing even the smallest parts of the bag, we have evolved a school bag that is easy for children to handle and for parents to watch over them with peace of mind.

Three points of improvement for the 2027 Standard Model

1. Adoption of "original silicon band" for binding shoulder strap tapes

The rubber band used to bind excess shoulder strap tape has been replaced by a newly developed "original silicon band" that is both durable and easy to operate.

New structure: The silicone band is passed through the loop at the end of the tape and wrapped around the tape to secure it in place.

High durability: The tape does not stretch or deteriorate like rubber, and retains its beautiful appearance for 6 years.
