Background of the Update

Since its official release in October 2025, "-Machikaku-" has been used by pharmacies, hospitals, beauty salons, restaurants, dry cleaners, and many other types of stores. Based on feedback from stores and customers, we have implemented this major update to respond to requests such as "I want to know not only the waiting time but also when I will be called," "I use multiple stores, so I want to see them in a list," and "I want the screen to match the atmosphere of the store." In addition to the conventional "X minutes to go" waiting time display, the estimated time of guidance is now also displayed. Customers can check the time in the format "25 minutes to go (around 10:40)," making it easier for them to estimate the waiting time and coordinate with outings and other errands. This eliminates the need for time calculations and reduces customer stress.

New Functions

Favorite Stores Function (Customer-Side Function) - Manage Multiple Stores at Once

Multiple stores can be registered as "Favorites," such as a family pharmacy, a favorite beauty salon, or a frequently used dry cleaner. Registered stores can be accessed with a single tap from the list screen, allowing you to quickly check the congestion status of each store. This eliminates the need to scan a 2D code each time, greatly improving convenience for customers who use the service on a daily basis.

Background Customization Function - Express Your Store's Individuality

The background of the waiting time display screen can be customized for each store. Choose from six templates (three pastel color gradients and three geometric patterns: dot, stripe, and wave), or upload your own original image. Uploaded images are automatically blurred to create a store atmosphere while maintaining visibility of the waiting time.

Continues to Be Completely Free and Easy to Use

All functions, including the three new ones added this time, are available free of charge permanently. There is no additional cost for new installations or updates for existing stores. The system can be set up intuitively from the administration screen, and no technical knowledge is required.

Flow of Use

2. Log in to the management screen and set the current number of people waiting and the time required per person.

3. Display the URL for the waiting time on a TV or PC monitor in the waiting room (if necessary).

4. Place 2D codes in the storefront (two formats available: for printing and for displaying on monitors).

5. (Customer) Scan the 2D code and check the waiting time and estimated time on their smartphone.

6. (Customer) Register as a Favorite to check the congestion status with a single tap from the next visit onward.
