Theater group Chabashira Biyori launched a crowdfunding campaign on January 7, 2026 with the aim of launching a video distribution site that will distribute full productions of small theater plays.

This project is an initiative to create an entry point for theater-goers to continue seeing productions after their performances and to create new encounters.

Background｜The reality is that encounters end when the stage ends.

The small theater stage is an expression of the close proximity between actors and audience, with a heat and atmosphere that can only be generated on the spot. On the other hand, many productions end after only a short performance period, and it is a reality that they cannot respond to the voices of "I wanted to see it again" or "I was curious about it but couldn't go.

This project was launched to address this "void that remains after the end of a performance" and to create a system that will allow people to continue to encounter these works even after their performances.

This project will launch a video distribution site specializing in distribution of full-length stage performances by small theaters.

By documenting and distributing the stage productions themselves, rather than distributing digests, we aim to create an environment in which the relationship between the audience and the productions does not end after a single performance.

A form of distribution that can only be done by a theater group

Chabashira Biyori has been performing mainly in small theaters since 2010. In recent years, we have been working on recording and distributing video footage of our performances, and have been experimenting with the angle of view, sound, editing, and other aspects of video that are appropriate for the scale and expression of small theaters.

This project is not about "distribution for the sake of distribution," but rather emphasizes the creation of a system that will continue without difficulty as a theater group that knows the scene.
