The Kanda Used Book Store Association will hold its first exhibition of used books for sale to the general public, "All Japan Used Book Expo in Chiyoda no Sakura Matsuri" from April 16 (Thu) to April 19 (Sun), 2026, at the Tokyo Kosho Kaikan, Ogawa Plaza.

This event, "All Japan Used Book Expo in Chiyoda no Sakura Matsuri" is a used and antiquarian book sales event that transcends regional boundaries and brings together over 100 antiquarian bookstores from Hokkaido in the north and Kyushu in the south, with the participation of antiquarian book dealers from across Japan. Our goal is to make this the largest antiquarian book fair in Japan, with millions of books on display, and to provide a venue for new encounters and discoveries.

In addition to the venues of the Tokyo Antiquarian Bookstore Hall and Ogawa Plaza, the annual "Jimbocho Sakura-michi Festival" and the "Spring Jimbocho Book Festival," which was unfortunately cancelled last fall due to rain, will be held at the same time in Jimbocho, the world's largest used bookstore district, allowing visitors to enjoy the book festival by touring Jimbocho You can enjoy the book festival by touring around Jimbocho.

The "Jimbocho Sakura Michi Festival" will feature a 500-meter-long "book corridor" surrounded by bookstores and wagons on the Yasukuni Street sidewalk in the Kanda antiquarian bookstore district, well known for the "Tokyo Famous Kanda Used Book Festival" in the fall.

The "Spring Jimbocho Book Festival" will be held at the Kanda Suzuran-dori Shopping Street, where 100

stands will be set up to sell books.

Jimbocho will be dyed in the colors of a book festival on an unprecedented scale. Please do not miss this opportunity.
