– Strengthening Responsiveness in the Rapidly Growing Indian Market –
Nireco Corporation Tokyo Stock Exchange Code: 6863
Nireco Corporation (Head Office: Hachioji City, Tokyo; President: Shinichi Nakasugi; hereinafter called as “Nireco”) has commenced the supply of Strip Guiding Systems (as called as Edge/Center Position Control (EPC/CPC) systems) for the steel and non-ferrous metals industries in India, in collaboration with IMS Maco Services Pvt. Ltd. (hereinafter called as “IMS Maco”) who is subsidiary company of the IMS Group in India, from early February, 2026.
This initiative follows the same collaboration framework as Nireco’s Strip Guiding Systems business development with IMS Systems Inc. in the North American market and represents an expansion of cooperation with the IMS Group into the Indian market.
Leveraging the Strip Guiding Systems technologies and expertise cultivated over many years, Nireco will work closely with IMS Maco to establish a localized framework encompassing design, manufacturing, sales, and service in India. IMS Maco will be responsible for providing products and services tailored to local customer requirements, while Nireco will support the initiative through technical assistance to ensure high quality and added value.
India is a key market where production capacity in the steel and non-ferrous metals industries continues to expand and is expected to demonstrate strong growth going forward. Building on its long-standing partnership with the IMS Group—globally recognized for its leadership in non-contact measurement technologies such as radiation thickness gauges—Nireco has promoted Strip Guiding Systems in North America through collaboration with IMS Systems Inc. The knowledge and experience gained through these initiatives will be applied to establish a responsive and flexible customer support structure in India.
Through this collaboration, Nireco aims to expand the value provided to the Indian steel and non-ferrous metals industries by contributing to stable operations, improved product quality and yield, and reduced material loss.
Looking ahead, Nireco will seek to expand the adoption of its Strip Guiding Systems in India through cooperation with IMS Maco, further deepen collaboration with the IMS Group in regions including the United States and India, and enhance the global presence of Nireco’s Strip Guiding Systems and other products.
