English Study Support for up to 11 Years. A private school started its own [scholarship support program for single-parent families］.

TEAMO Corporation (Location: Saitama City, Saitama Prefecture; President: Takafumi Isoda), which operates an English school for children called TEAMO ENGLISH, will launch a unique English scholarship support program for children from single-parent families in April 2026.

This is a long-term support program of up to 11 years for families who are unable to continue to fund their children’s studies due to economic circumstances, with the aim of helping children acquire English skills to a level that will be useful in society for up to 11 years.

Background of implementation:

We have a strong sense of crisis about the current situation in society where economic disparity is directly linked to educational disparity. This program was born out of the belief that children growing up in an environment of financial difficulty should not have to give up on their desire to learn and their vision of a bright future.

Learning English is not something that can be acquired in a short period of time. That is why TEAMO ENGLISH has designed a long-term support system with the goal of helping students acquire English to a level that will be useful in society.

This support is made possible through a unique system that is not dependent on subsidies, donations, or volunteers, but is processed within the school. By accepting one child from an eligible family per class, we are able to provide continuous scholarship support.

Purpose of the Scholarship Program

This is our unique scholarship program that provides long-term support for children from families who have no choice but to give up education due to financial difficulties, until they "acquire a level of English proficiency useful in society". The purpose of this program is to reduce the educational disparity.

■Support

The school pays approximately 65% of monthly fees, initial costs, and equipment costs.

User's contribution: 3,000~4,000 yen per month (general: 8,600~11,550 yen)

■Eligible households

Children of kindergarten age to 2nd grade of elementary school from single-parent families receiving child support allowance.

■Period of support

Up to 11 years

【TEAMO ENGLISH PLAY CLUB 】Kindergarten to 2nd grade of elementary (2 to 4 years)

　　Children develop their English listening skills and vocabulary at the same time as they play to develop their motor skills.

【TEAMO PHONICS CLUB】Kids from 3rd grade of elementary (1 year)

　　Master phonics to connect listening skills to reading and writing skills.

【TEAMO ENGLISH CLUB】 Elementary 4th grade to Junior High School (6 years)

　　Learn Japanese, math, science, and social studies in English

One student per class in the kindergarten level classes, and the elementary level classes.

Future Prospects

Through this program, we aim to accept a total of 12 students in FY2026. In the future, our goal is to create a virtuous cycle in which children who receive this support will use English as their future strength and spread their wings in society, becoming role models for the next generation.

We also aim to expand the circle of support from the field of private education by collaborating with school owners across Japan who agree with the concept of this program, rather than making it an isolated venture.
