Kibitsu Shrine National Treasure 600th Anniversary of the Rebuilding of the Main Shrine and Worship Hall +1 Special Evening Party Held

Kibitsu Shrine (Kita-ku, Okayama City) will hold a "Special Night Party" on Saturday, April 25, 2026, marking the new beginning of the "600th Anniversary of the Reconstruction of the National Treasure Main Shrine and Worship Hall +1". This event is a one-night-only special program that combines talks, recitations, and music in a historical space that is normally closed to the public at night, when the precincts of the temple are open to the public.

Performers will include visualist and film director Makoto Tezuka, comedian and author Naoki Matayoshi, and Kibitsu Shrine chief priest Takayuki Fujii.

Under the title "Passionate Talk at Kibitsu Shrine at Night," they will hold a public talk session on the themes of culture, art, and history, which can only be heard on this night and in this place.

In addition, actor Tokuma Nishioka (special appearance), actor Yuya Takagawa's original reading of the play "Kibitsu no Kamama", and music performance by Yusuke Yabui, a cutting-edge electronic instrumentalist, are scheduled in a variety of programs.
