World Instant Noodles Association, Together with Indofood and Nissin Foods Indonesia, Provided 65,000 Servings of Instant Noodles to Victims of Torrential Rains in Sumatra, Indonesia

World Instant Noodles Association (WINA), in collaboration with its member companies PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk (“Indofood”) and PT. NISSIN FOODS INDONESIA (“Nissin Foods Indonesia”), provided a total of 65,000 servings of instant noodles as relief support for areas affected by floods and landslides caused by record-breaking torrential rains associated with Cyclone “Senyar,” which had continued since late November 2025. 

The torrential rains caused extensive damage, particularly in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra in northwestern Indonesia, where many homes and educational facilities were damaged. The disaster also had a severe impact on the foundations of daily life in the region, disrupting logistics due to damaged roads and bridges and causing widespread power outages. With more than 1 million people forced to evacuate, according to BNPB, 30,000 servings of instant noodles were delivered in cooperation with Indofood, and 35,000 servings in cooperation with Nissin Foods Indonesia, through local relief organizations to help secure food for those affected and support their recovery and rebuilding efforts. 

WINA will continue to actively engage in disaster relief efforts through instant noodles by leveraging the value of “Instant Hot Meal” to warms hearts and bodies.
