The town of Inawashiro becomes an art museum! Art Rally" starts on April 1 　A city walking event to visit 5 giant murals will be held.

In conjunction with the Fukushima DC (Destination Campaign), Inawashiro Tourism Association (Chairman: Isao Kanda) will hold the "Art Rally", a participatory event where visitors can enjoy walking around town while visiting wall art in Inawashiro Town, from April 1, 2026 (Wednesday).

This event is a special project to let more people know about the colorful mural artworks that have spread from schools to the town through the Wall Art Festival Fukushima in Inawashiro (WAF Inawashiro), which celebrated its 8th anniversary in FY2025. The event is a rally-style event that takes visitors on a tour of five unique artworks painted on the walls of the town's stores and eateries by artists active in Japan and abroad, such as Yuriko Asano and Daisuke Kagawa.

Three ways to enjoy the "Art Rally

1. experience the overwhelming wall art up close

The rally will take visitors on a tour of giant artworks painted on the walls of restaurants, shopping mall parking lots, warehouses, and other locations in the town. You can enjoy the fusion of everyday life and art in Inawashiro, which you can only encounter by walking around. 2.

2. collect the password to get a souvenir

If you collect all five "passwords" hidden in each art spot and bring them to the Inawashiro Tourist Association, you will receive a limited edition commemorative gift as a completion prize (the offer will end when all the passwords are gone). 3.

3. easy access by public transportation

By taking the local bus (Aizu Bus) from JR Inawashiro Station and getting off at the "Bus Center" stop, you can smoothly access many of the major art spots.
