Tokushima, Shimane, Wakayama, and Okayama have been selected as the venues for the second half of 2023 for "Zen-Niku Matsuri," one of the largest outdoor gourmet events in western Japan organized by Gi-FACTORY.

What is the Zen-Niku Festival?

The Zen-Niku Festival is a large-scale outdoor gourmet event that gathers gourmet foods from various regions of Japan, inviting and selecting stalls from all over the country to participate in the event.

The event currently attracts many stalls from as far north as Akita and as far south as Oita, and in the first half of 2023, four events were successfully held in Wakayama, Fukuyama, Tokushima, and Yamaguchi, attracting approximately 800,000 visitors. The Zen-Beef Festival is scheduled to be held in eight cities in six regions, mainly in the Chugoku and Shikoku regions.

The following is a list of events scheduled to be held in the second half of 2023.

Aiba-hama Park, Tokushima [4th Opening] October 20-22, 2023

Tokushima is the only venue among all the venues to hold the festival on the eve of the event.

Although it is the venue with the fewest number of stalls, about 50 stores will line the streets.

Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture, former prefectural swimming pool site plaza [Inaugural event] October 28-29, 2023

The first all-beef festival, with approximately 60 stores.

The venue is divided into two areas, a buying area and a viewing area, making it easy to spend time and enjoy the stage performances while eating.

Wakayama Venue: Wakayama Castle Sunanomaru Square [12th] November 3-5, 2023

Wakayama venue is the birthplace of the Zen Beef Festival.

This fall, the festival will be held for three days due to consecutive holidays.

The number of stalls will be about 70, and the number of menu items will be the largest ever. There will be several stalls from Kyushu this year, and a new entry will be a genuine French restaurant registered with Bib Gourmand.

Okayama Dome Square, Okayama City, Okayama Prefecture [Inaugural event] November 25-26, 2023

The first all-meat festival, with approximately 60 restaurants.

This will be the first large-scale gourmet event in the facility's history.

The venue is located next to a large lawn, so you can bring in sheets or simple tents and enjoy the event at your leisure.

The volume of food is so large that you will not be able to enjoy it all the way through the festival.

You will never be able to eat up all of the food during the event period alone.

Wine tasting corner is also available.
