Received "IT Award" and "IT Encouragement Award" at the 41st IT Awards

MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, Inc. and MS&AD Systems, Inc. (President and Group CEO: Noriyuki Hara; hereinafter "MS&AD Holdings") and MS&AD Systems, Inc. (President: Takuya Tsuda, hereinafter "MS&AD Systems") has received the "IT Award" and "IT Encouragement Award" at the 41st IT Awards for 2023 organized by the Information Technology Association of Japan (Chairman: Masaki Yamauchi, hereinafter "IT Association").

The Group will respond to new risks such as cyber and the needs that accompany them, and as a platform for risk solutions, will strive to transform its business and enhance the value of customer experience through the use of digital data, aiming to become a corporate group that supports a resilient and sustainable society. Outline of the IT Award/IT Encouragement Award

The IT Award/IT Encouragement Award is a system of awards for companies, organizations, institutions, and individuals recognized for their outstanding efforts and achievements in "business innovation through the advanced use of IT" in the business operations of Japanese industry and government agencies.

Established in 1983, the 41st award was presented to a total of 33 companies, organizations, institutions, and individuals.

IT Award (Customer and Business Functional Area)

(1) Award-winning companies: MS&AD Holdings, MS&AD Systems

(2)Awarded theme: Development of "Group Data Collaboration Platform" - Enhancing infrastructure for the creation of shared value with society

(3)Efforts : The project was promoted with a precise coordination system that crosses organizations and functions, and a mechanism was quickly developed to securely and speedily share data among group companies by introducing the virtualization platform Denodo and extracting and processing data through View. While utilizing existing data sources, the company built a mechanism to reduce the impact on existing processing, enabling data analysis in response to the expansion of group users and the increase in data volume.

(2)Awarded theme: Establishment of a security enhancement scheme based on security by design

(3)Efforts: The scheme to incorporate and evaluate security requirements at the planning and proposal stage using the "Security by Design" concept was highly evaluated for its ability to educate companies that are strengthening their security measures on the importance of implementing security measures from the upstream process.

(1)Award-winning company : MS&AD Systems, Inc.

(2)Awarded theme: Development of "AHARA," a smartphone-compatible variable annuity insurance

(3)Description of Efforts: In order to realize the business functions that are key to the sales of smartphone-complete products, MS&AD Systems developed a cloud-based system, implemented the most appropriate solution, and released a high-quality system in a short period of time. In addition, the company was highly evaluated for its expected future smartphone-complete products and services.
